The Conch has been a very challenging piece with all its subtle color variations. Framed by a hexagon and embedded in geometrics. The last piece of my trilogy, it is a Symbol of Spiritual Awakening.
This Conch Shell and I have been on quite a journey since its Inception. It took me about one month to complete. These are the feelings, words, events that reflect what I encountered during this journey: inspiration, excitement, love, sincerity, change, Taos, camping, driving, infection, Pharma drugs, pain, loneliness, abandonment, rejection, and acceptance.

The Egret, if you have ever witnessed this hunter stalking its prey, symbolizes calmness, patience, self-determination.
This great bird also represents the following attributes:
◆ Grace ◆ Noble Stature ◆ Solitude ◆ Longevity ◆ Intelligence
◆ Strength ◆ Independence ◆ Tranquility ◆ Flow ◆ Stability ◆ Tactfulness ◆ Self-reflection ◆ Self-reliance ◆ Good Luck
This painting was inspired by a snowy egret I saw while it was stalking minnows along Walnut Creek in Govalle Park.

Initially, I was looking for a good example of a white magnolia flower when I came across the gardenia. I was intrigued by the way the petals unfolded.
The gardenia symbolizes trust, clarity, renewal, dreams, hope, and beauty.

The Lotus
The Lotus flower has an array of symbolic meanings, primarily for its beauty upon emerging from the mud and mire at the bottom of a pond. We are inspired to handle our own challenges and ascend in strength, grace and beauty. The Egyptians held the lotus as a symbol of life, fertility and creation. The Lotus is a purifying agent for Buddhists, this concept deals with centering, with peace, beauty and harmony.
