A work in progress. Laying down the background first. I just wanted to capture the Columbine while it's blooming prolifically.
I started sketching the Columbines, leading up to the eventual acrylic on canvas. The flowers look like the Sentinels in Matrix, or shooting stars. I get much of my inspiration from our garden. The frog and fish are back once again. This time the fish is jumping out of the water, while the frog is still waiting for Mr. mosquito. I better make sure to empty out the water every couple days so I don't make any safe havens for the little buggers.
Tres Rosas is complete and just in time for Valentine's day. I haven't decided where to sign, front or back? Maybe $350 - $450?
The rose. Getting back into painting. This study helps me use my observation skills more effectively. I see the improvement in the second attempt, already. Also, using acrylics can present various challenges when blending varying tones. So, good exercise.
